Alamo City Black Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors
A Message from our CEO...
Dr. Krystal Cross, EdD
The Alamo City Black Chamber of Commerce has a rich history here in San Antonio. Since our founding in 1938, after Phi Beta Sigma fraternity, Inc. created a forum to celebrate Black businesses in the Alamo City, past and present ACBCC staffs have helped big thinkers and go-getters to establish new businesses. We've also supported and assisted the successes and expansions of others.

Today, we've updated our focus and presence in the face of changing times. Our new logo illustrates our fresh approaches to meeting our members' and communities' needs. As the new CEO, I realize that the world is different, and we are tailoring our offerings to the times. People are working virtually, businesses require more data, new demands from changed customers are arising, and new industries and technologies have come online after a global pandemic. We also understand our members and their customers are also taking hits from increased inflation and a looming global recession. So, we've added to and updated our membership benefits, programs, resources, trainings, events, discounts, and other offerings. With looming social justice issues, we've even accelerated our advocacy and partnerships with other organizations and chambers representing people of color.

We are continuing in our historic tradition, but we know this is a different day with lots of new business issues to navigate and new opportunities to capture. So, the NEW ACBCC is also working even harder to build a stronger and more intimate family unit between our members, staff, government, and community. We realize that togetherness--the quality and closeness of local connections and networks--is key.

Accordingly, we are launching our new RESOURCE GROUPS, pairing up like-minded members for success, support, innovation, and solutions. Part of that work is our ongoing priority to contribute to our community and tomorrow's next Alamo City Black business owners and students. Plus, we are even upping our individualized approach in servicing our members' needs.

Our aim is to make your ACBCC a different and invaluable resource. Thus, our business is laser-focused on providing tools our members need to make certainty, innovation, and growth possible in uncertain times.

We know that when Black businesses do well, jobs, wealth, education, opportunities, and access follow, and our local Black community, our city, state, and our nation benefit and thrive. Be a part of that growth and building our new traditions. Please share your ideas and renew or join today!
