Creating Connections

Our key ingredient to success is connections! Between local and small businesses, non-profits, community organizations and multinational corporations, our members build close ties, partnerships, and networks. We hold regular events so new names and faces quickly become familiar. Our new Resource Groups pair members with common interests to strengthen bonds, participate in events, collaborate, ideate, reach goals, and expand businesses. They also allow members to volunteer in groups, hold initiatives together, problem solve, and grow support systems, not only bettering members' successes in business, but in their quality of life!

Focus on Growth

In unprecedented times, growth is attainable. Whether its exploring Ai or other new technologies, navigating economic downturns, targeting new segments like Gen Z, preparing for office culture shifts, or finding global opportunities, we stand ready to help with resources. We provide data, programming, web events, research, and intimate problem-solving sessions to anticipate demographic and other generational shifts, changes in consumer values, employee expectations, and future projections. We even search for procurement opportunities, give grant information, host linking sessions, and map resources individually. Our members' successes matter to us!

Building Community

Whether on the Eastside, Southside, in the loop, out of the loop, or in any suburb of San Antonio, the ACBCC works to build a central Black business community with a shared culture and a bright long-term outlook. We seek to know each other and contribute to each other's growth. We know that when we build strong businesses; hire, produce, and source locally; buy from each other; and collaborate and problem solve together, we all win--including our city, state and country. Plus, when we focus on our shared values of equity, supporting youth, education, the arts, health, the environment, and social justice, we have laid a foundation for a strong for a prosperous future. We also organize group volunteering opportunities for members and even include their staff to deliver broader life-changing impact.

Advocacy

As we rise, we believe in investing time, passion, and resources into our local Black community to make the Alamo City a vibrant, engaging, and more equitable place to live. We partner with other Black chambers of commerce across the state and nation, and other chambers of commerce for other underrepresented groups to make sure our issues and our voices are heard and addressed in the statehouse, White House, U.S. Congress, and international bodies. Again, our advocacy is laser focused on: equity, supporting youth, education, the arts, health, the environment, and social justice. We also work with U.S. Chambers abroad to secure opportunities for San Antonio businesses domestically and internationally.
