Building connections.

Securing growth.

Preparing for a new future.

Moving our community forward.

The Alamo City Black Chamber of Commerce provides the tools that help our members and community navigate the future, modernize, innovate, and grow.

Our chief goal is to help our members and community move forward towards growth and stability. We help our members to better position themselves to thrive through inflation and economic downturns, and to be resilient through changing business environments and cultural and behavioral shifts among customers and staff.

Our Focus

Disruption is happening in every industry everywhere. Long-term planning is difficult because the world is in a rapid and constant state of flux, as technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) and electric vehicles (EVs) expand, workplaces evolve, employee and consumer expectations change, and social and economic events affect the business landscape. The Alamo City Black Chamber of Commerce (ACBCC) continues to evolve with our community in order to best serve our members

We stand ready to offer solutions, present valuable opportunities, and provide valuable resources. We are constantly looking for ways to help our members find connections and new pockets of growth. Our members can rest assured that we are part of our members’ teams and advocate for our Black businesses at local, state, national and international levels. Our business is laser-focused on providing the tools our members need to move forward and make gains, even in uncertain times.

We start with building small-circle intimate connections, even with big companies and community organizations. Close relationships, individualized support, and mapping resources are key ingredients in our secret sauce that makes the ACBCC a valuable partner.

Plus, we offer new programming, benefits, knowledge, networks, business opportunities, and initiatives to help members to solve problems and build collaborative networks. We do all this while also working to build up people in our local Black community.

Donald Mooney, President & CEO

Donald Mooney Enterprises

Donald Mooney founded Nurse's Etc. Staffing in 2000. Since then, the supplemental healthcare staffing company has been placing nurses and other medical professionals across the U.S.  The company was literally a lifesaver during COVID. Since its founding, the company has also expanded into other aspects of the medical industry.

"The word I'd use to describe the Alamo City Chamber is community...it's a business community. I believe the best feature of the chamber is the networking with other businesses and seeing how they problem solve, which helps me...because we all have the same issues and challenges. So, I think bringing business together and networking, events, and meeting other business owners empowers us to grow." Nurse's Etc. Staffing is a certified: Small Disadvantaged Business, Veteran/Service-Disabled Veteran Business, and Minority-Owned Enterprise.
